A Letter to Lady Truth
Lady Truth

Paradise, Earth
Dearest Lady Truth,
I’m taking the liberty of this correspondence to come and hear from you.
I’m concerned about you in the current complicated situation. The number of your detractors continues to grow, and so do their wishes.
Allow me to ask about your health, your family and your business.
Are you well?
I know you are immune to all transmissible diseases. I praise your iron health. However, with the appearance of new strains of the alternative facts microbe, the relativism virus and the reality denial bacterium, I have to say I’m worried.
Because your enemy, the Lie, has gone and allied himself with some strange warlords. Miss Terror, Mister Kalachnikov and non binary Wokist are now simultaneously attacking you, your followers and your homes.
It’s futile and presumptuous of me to inform you of this, for all this is already known to you. But doubt feeds anxiety. And I’d like to get rid of both.
How is your family doing?
I come across your relative Critical Thinking quite regularly, accompanied by his friends Moral and Ethics. They seem to be in rather poor form, sadly.
Likewise, your close relative Reason has come in for a lot of criticism from his in-laws. His wife, The Faith, has to deal with a violent adolescent crisis in her youngest daughter. Fortunately, they can count on their eldest and cadet siblings to restore harmony between the descendants of the same patriarch.
But the one who questions me the most, and I find it hard to say, is your great aunt Tolerance. Fragile by nature, I fear she may be the prisoner of a bunch of bearded bewilderers who speak only of anathemas and raids.
Please convey my affection and best wishes to them all.
Finally, how is your business going?
I imagine you’re very busy. Your community has never had so many members so busy expanding your domain. It must be said that you are very prodigal. Mother Nature has been generous with you. However, a tiny group of Anti, armed with doubt and coercion, is wreaking havoc on your campuses. You’d be well advised, if I may say so, to stop by and make fools of them.
A few words from the heart before I leave you.
We know you’re calm and level-headed. Methodical and implacable. Benevolent and demanding. You are the nourishment of all fertile minds. Coming to meet you is the most beautiful journey to undertake. And so I offer you this heartfelt prayer.
May you fill the world with your light and bury your enemies in their darkness.
With deep gratitude and immense respect,
a friend.
